 Junior Varsity Fall Baseball Information

For Players In Grades 7 through 9

Hoosier Diamond would like to invite you to participate in the 2008 Hoosier Diamond  Fall Baseball League.

 The Hoosier Diamond Fall Baseball League is not just an “area” fall league.  The Hoosier Diamond Fall Baseball League is an opportunity for players to participate against baseball talent from outside their own backyards.  Last year’s league drew participants from as far north as Michigan and extreme northern Indiana to as far south as nearly the Ohio River, and west into Illinois.

 The Hoosier Diamond Fall Baseball league has quickly become the largest most successful fall baseball program in the Midwest.  Beginning in 2008 Hoosier Diamond will offer fall league competition in 3 regions throughout Indiana.

 Hoosier Diamond’s Fall Baseball League provides two different age divisions.  Our Junior Varsity League is for players that are in the 7^th, 8^th and 9^th grades.  Our Varsity League is for those players that are in 9^th through 12^th grade (9^th graders have a choice of which league they may participate in).  Hoosier Diamond also offers a Select League for high school players in grades 10-12.  These players must have the signature of their high school coach on their application.

 Hoosier Diamond’s Fall League will be conducted in 3 geographical regions throughout the State.  Our North Region will be held at Concord High School and Elkhart Memorial.  Our Central Region will be conducted at Trinity Ballpark (Noblesville), Greenfield Central High School, Hamilton Heights High School, Sherdian High School, and Habig Field (Carmel / Westfield area).  Our Southern Region will be conducted at Mitchell High School, Loogootee High School , and Shoals High School.  We will be announcing other locations in each region very soon.

 Hoosier Diamond’s Fall Baseball League provides you with 5 weeks of competition, beginning with four weeks of league play (doubles headers for each team each Sunday).  League play will be followed by a post-season tournament.

 All games will be played on Sunday to avoid conflict with fall school sports.  League play begins August 24 (we skip Labor Day weekend), Sept. 7, Sept 14, and Sept 21.  The post-season tournament will be held the weekend of September 28^th.

 Registration is open to individuals or teams.  Individual registration is $170.  A $85 deposit is required when submitting your application.  If you are interested in entering a complete team please contact Hoosier Diamond at 317-773-1411 for team entry discounts and to receive a team entry registration form.

 Why Hoosier Diamond  Fall Baseball League?

1.  The facilities we conduct our fall league on are excellent!

2.  Hoosier Diamond uses the fall league to select players that will participate in the USA Baseball Junior Olympic Tournament (any player 17 and under will be eligible for selection).

3.  Hoosier Diamond provides you with excellent exposure to college baseball coaches.  Hoosier Diamond publishes the Hoosier Diamond newspaper, a publication dedicated to high school, college, and youth league baseball coverage.  Many college coaches and professional scouts subscribe to Hoosier Diamond.  Fall league coverage will appear in an upcoming issue of the Hoosier Diamond.

4.  Hoosier Diamond’s Fall Baseball Staff is excellent.  We select the best fall league coaches available to us.  The umpire we use for our fall league are some of the finest umpires in the Midwest.

5.        Competition is excellent.

6.  Hoosier Diamond, through our website, provides you with an opportunity to post your fall league statistics each week.  This is a great opportunity for college coaches, high school coaches, other fall league participants, and baseball fans to follow your fall progress.  Each week Hoosier Diamond emails a complete weekly fall league report to each participant’s high school baseball coach and nearly 350 college coaches.  This is a great tool to expose your baseball talents.

 Fall league registration is limited and because of the large geographical area in which we draw players from we encourage you to register quickly to secure a roster spot. Last year’s fall league fielded 31 teams, nearly 500 participants, and several players were turned away because the league was completely full.

Return this form with your $85 registration deposit to Hoosier Diamond, 518 Sunset Dr., Noblesville, IN. 46060.  There is no deadline for submitting your application however we do expect the league to fill quickly.   Your final $85 payment will be due shortly before the start of the league.

If you would like to be placed on the same team with a friend or school teammate please indicate the other players name on the bottom of this application.  Hoosier Diamond will make every attempt to honor these requests within IHSAA guidelines

Refund Policy: 

Refunds are made only in cases of injury or illness (must be accompanied by a physician’s statement)  that would prevent the participant from playing in the entire season.  Only the $85 deposit is refundable.
