I think that the significance of Nick playing short stop on last years team that was Mid - state Conference , Westfield Slugfest , Sectional , Regional, Semi-State and State Champions as well as Marion County runner-up should not be forgotten. He lead last years team with 11 home runs and 51 RBI,s as well as hit over .450 needs to count for something, Everyone in our area knows who he is and this is pitching very carefully to him. Even with the pressure of repeating last years statistics look what he has done. He has lead this team to a repeated Mid-state Conference title and is still hitting over .500 with 4 home runs and a slugging pct over .900. He has accomplished this against quality pitching and like singles against Peters from Cathedral and homered and doubled against Cunningham of Lawrence North. Please do not forget the players accomplishments over his entire career not just what he did his senior year. This is a Quality player |
