The Fall Showcase provides
participants with the opportunity to market their athletic and
academic talents to college baseball programs.
For participants and their
parents the weekend will lead off with a speaker session.
This session will be conducted by a former college
baseball coach, now a NCAA compliance officer with a Division I
university. The
discussion will address college recruiting.
Topics will include the NCAA Clearinghouse, scholarships,
admission testing, NCAA recruiting rules and the recruiting
timeline. If you do
not have a great understanding of how the recruiting process
works, you will find this session extremely beneficial.
After the speaker session each
player will participate in a complete skill evaluation session.
This session is conducted by a staff of Major League
Baseball scouts and college coaches.
Each participant’s Showcase evaluation scores, academic
information, baseball stats and home address will be provided to
nearly 300 college baseball programs, as well as the college
coaches and pro scouts in attendance.
The evaluation session will be conducted in a “pro
tryout” format. Each participant will receive a copy of the
entire camp evaluation scores.
The camp evaluation results can also be used as a “yard
stick” to compare your baseball talents to others from
throughout the
Midwest
.
Finally, weather permitting,
each participant will have the opportunity to Showcase their
baseball talent in a Showcase double header.
The cost to attend this
fantastic baseball recruiting event is $185.
There is no deadline for submitting applications,
however, roster spots are limited and this camp will fill
quickly. Participants
may submit their application with a $75 deposit to reserve their
camp spot.
The Hoosier Diamond Showcase
is one of the oldest and most respected baseball showcases in
the
Midwest
